Chris Waller is convinced that the New Zealand-bred and owned Mackintosh will run a solid 2400 metres in Saturday's Gr.1 Queensland Derby.
"We are very happy with the way that he has come through his winning run in the Grand Prix over the 2200m," he said.
"Having seen him come through the race and having a good look at his profile, we have no doubt that he will run the 2400m distance. He never over-races and is genuine."
The Sydney trainer will also be represented by the Kiwi-raced Rodrico, Encosta Line and the NZ-bred Multifacets.
