Sam Collett is on track to achieve her season's goal for the 2015-16 term.

"I'm pretty happy with the way things are going - I set myself a target of 60 winners and I'm up to 49 so it's been very rewarding so far," the 26-year-old said.

"I rode 53 winners in my second year and I tried to crack that last season and got to 52. I was a bit disheartened by that, but this term it's going nicely and I'm trying to get as many winners as I can before a two week break."

Collett is going to Sydney in early July to attend the wedding of fellow jockey Daniel Stackhouse and she will then head to China.

"I've been invited to their main meeting on the 9th, 10th and the 11th and I'll miss the first day, but I will be riding on the last two days," she said.

In the meantime, Collett has a number of chances at Riccarton on Friday to keep her tally ticking over.

She has a full book of eight, including the promising Terri Rae-trained filly Magic Mavis in the Rothbury Insurance Brokers Three-Year-Old.

"Terri does a fantastic job with her horses and she should be a good ride," Collett said.

She also has prior experience with Sombreuil, who will make her southern debut for Shane Kennedy and Anna Furlong in the Racecourse Hotel & Motor Lodge Rating 65.

"I rode her at the trials and on race day when she was with Ken and Bev Kelso – she was a bit disappointing and hopefully a change of environment helps her," she said.

Collett will also partner Umshini Wami (race one), Eagle Magic (race two), Paco Rabanne (race three), Beacons (race four), Champollion (race six) and Nesta (race seven). – NZ Racing Desk.
